Peninsula Food Runners
Peninsula Food Runners is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger by redistributing surplus fresh food to those in need. They work with restaurants, caterers, supermarkets, and farmers markets to rescue excess food and deliver it to shelters, food banks, and community organizations across the Peninsula.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, Peninsula Food Runners ensures that perfectly good, nutritious food reaches individuals and families facing food insecurity—making a real impact every day. Peninsula Food Runners is making a strong impact, rescuing approximately 3.7 million meals in 2024 and delivering them to over 13,000 people weekly.
The Challenge - While these efforts are significant, there's still work to be done to reach pre-pandemic levels. With continued support from volunteers and donors, we can bridge the gap and ensure even more fresh, nutritious meals reach those in need.
The Solution - As Consulting Marketing Director, Laura is maximizing KPIs by leveraging a full suite of tools, including a new website (launching Q2 ‘25), strategic social media, public relations, and a volunteer appreciation event—all designed to enhance engagement and impact.
